A Vance Alabama Wedding at Flagstone Farm

When I say I have the best clients ever, I honestly mean it. Since my first solo wedding in 2009, I can count on one hand the amount of not-so-pleasant experiences I’ve had. Basically every couple I’ve had the honor of capturing has been such a fun and beautiful journey from the moment we sat down for coffee.

Miranda and Luke were no exception.

From the first email exchange, I could tell Miranda was going to be such a sweet person to work with. I was so excited when she decided to book our consultation and their wedding package shortly after. They went for the whole shebang! Engagements, bridals, the works!

They are all still some of my favorite photos to date.

I’m no stranger around Flagstone Farm. I’ve been capturing weddings out there for several years now. The staff is so sweet and the venue is family owned and ran. It is always so nice getting to spend the day at beautiful Flagstone. The fact that I’m only about 10 minutes away from Vance is not a bad perk either!

Being surrounded by your family and friends during one of the biggest moments in life makes it all the more special. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love it when I show up to a wedding and am immediately treated like a part of the family. Because for just one day, that’s exactly what I want to be.

There is something so sweet about a first look with dad (or mom). I love so many aspects of weddings, but those first looks with dad and father-daughter dances get me teary eyed every. single. time!

After dad’s first look, Miranda and team went straight to meet Luke at the pier!

I adore this pier overlooking the gorgeous lake at Flagstone Farm. It makes the perfect backdrop for wedding photos in any weather.
